Mitcon near Seva Road in Balewadi area on Mumbai Bangalore Highway. On August 17, between 12 noon, a four-wheeler caught fire. On noticing the smoke coming from the car, the five people in the car got out of the car in time to avoid a major accident.

Rituraj Patil studying at MIT college in Kothrud, Tanmay Shelke native village Beed and his three other friends went to Lonavala for tourism on (Wednesday – Wednesday, 16th). While coming from Lonavala on the morning of 17th, while going towards Kothrud on the Mumbai Bangalore highway, a burning smell started coming from the car near Wakad. Further along the highway, while turning towards Balewadi, as a lot of smoke started coming out from the bonnet, all the friends in the car got down, at which point the car caught fire. The boys tried to put out the fire by taking water from a teapot nearby but to no avail.

 

On getting the information about the fire, Pashan Station Officer Shivji Memane, Fire Man Kisan Tarpade, Chandrakant Burud, Helpers Saurabh Parkhi, Vishal Madhe, Driver Shubham Karande went there and quickly extinguished the fire. In this incident, the car was completely burnt. At this time, citizens gathered at the scene of the incident. Due to this, there was a huge traffic jam. The Panchnama of the incident is underway and further investigation is being conducted by Chatursrungi Police Station Assistant Police Inspector Rajkumar Kendra.
